Queues, Queues and more Queues

Queues of up to 9 hours greeted guests arriving to see the new Harry Potter themed land at Islands of Adventure. Unprecented queues began OUTSIDE the park with guests queuing round past the Hard Rock Cafe and the Universal Globe, back into City Walk before they could even enter the main park.

Once inside more queues greeted them - this time to get inside the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests waited in lines which stretched all the way around the park as cast members warned them that even after waiting 9 hours they might not make it inside the land before the park closed.

Those lucky enough to gain access faced more queues to get inside the shops and restaurants with 2 hour plus queues for the new ride, The Forbidden Journey.

Unfortunately for those who gave up there were also long queues at Guest Services for refunds and complaints.

Clearly the Harry Potter experience is enormously popular and for those who want to see it now it looks like the queues will continue. Although it looks set to remain popular I'm sure the initial crowd levels will fall off a bit over the coming months allowing a less stressful visit for most of us later in the year.
